The main objective of the research project, Why did Gioacchino da Fiore criticize Petrus Lombardus? The Reconstruction of a theologico-philosophical Debate on Trinity and Salvation (abbreviation: WGFCPLRTPDTS), supported by a grant of Ministery of Research and Innovation, CNCS – UEFISCDI, project number PN-III-P1-1.1-PD-2016-0436, within PNCDI III, May 2nd 2018 – 30th April 2020) is to outline and analyse the frames of the philosophical-theological debate between the two approaches regarding the doctrine of the Trinity and salvation represented by Peter the Lombard and his critic, Joachim of Fiore, in order to observe the arguments of both sides and to establish the correct evolution of the arising critique and its validity.
